Karli Krok, LPC
Therapist
I believe the power of therapy lies in the opportunity it creates for people to uncover the meaning underlying their symptoms and behavioral patterns. My goal as a clinician is for clients to gain a deeper understanding of these functions and believe in their ability to make positive life changes.
My therapeutic style is highly influenced by person-centered therapy. Together, I work alongside my clients to help them achieve enhanced psychological functioning and empower them to take agency over their own lives. I work from a collaborative and empathic approach. My clinical style also emphasizes the importance of a value-driven life, emotional regulation, and addressing maladaptive coping mechanisms. I draw from evidence-based treatment modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
I bring with me a unique blend of past experiences including working in higher levels of mental healthcare as well as missionary work. I believe in the inherent human dignity of all people and believe my vocation is to help others relieve their suffering. This desire to help others heal psychologically is rooted in my faith, personal experiences, and my values of compassion, love, and service. The human connection I feel towards clients aids in my ability to quickly build rapport and provide a warm and supportive environment to allow vulnerability and promote healing.
