Clinical Intern

Therapy was not as accessible to me while I was growing up for a few reasons. I grew up in the Caribbean where therapy and mental health services were not talked about or readily available for me. Stigma and lack of resources lead to the issues of individuals ignoring problems that have lasting effects on their lives. I hope that I can be the resource and service a younger me would have greatly benefited from, and to help reduce stigma surrounding mental health in general.

I believe it takes courage and wisdom to admit not only to others, but to ourselves that we need help and to know that we are not alone. This lifelong journey with ourselves is difficult and sometimes we need help. Therapy is one way to reach out for help and it is a difficult thing to do, but can be one of the most rewarding and helpful experiences in our lives.

There is meaning in every part of life and sometimes it takes perspective and reflection to see that meaning. I want to help individuals rediscover the beauty and meaning in their own personal lives. Many individuals can lose sight of just how magnificent life can be. I hope to use evidence-based practices and therapies to help people build a strong relationship with themselves and those around them, while finding meaning and perspective in their lives. I am excited to build a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients, and to be a part of their journey.

My specialties include:
